Harrogate-based Welcom Software has been rewarded for its commitment to staff development, by achieving two major industry accolades. The business solutions specialist has been recognised as leading edge in the IT industry after being awarded highly commended status in the City & Guilds Employer of the Year category of the Orange Business Awards. It has also become one of only four companies in the Yorkshire & Humberside region to achieve the Recruitment & Selection model from Investors in People (IiP)

The annual business awards are an independent programme recognising business excellence and the judges praised Welcom’s clear people objectives and encouragement of open communication. The IiP accreditation recognises Welcom’s effective and efficient recruitment practices and its continual updating and development of its recruitment procedures.
