Land of Leather, the UK based furniture giant, has recently completed an 18 month review of its software requirements and has appointed Welcom Software to become its new IT partner.

The review took into consideration the ambitious growth plans which Land of Leather is set to achieve over the next six years. The retailer aims to double its store base of 72 by opening up to 10 new stores each year. Land of Leather was seeking a software provider that clearly understood its business needs and would be capable of accommodating its growth plans with minimum disruption.

Specialist provider, Welcom Software, was selected on the strength of its retail solutions coupled with its extensive experience in the furniture retail arena. Welcom Software has been designing and implementing solutions that help businesses improve their effectiveness for over 25 years. The team will work closely with Land of Leather to deliver a bespoke solution that satisfies its existing requirements and helps to achieve the growth targets.

Land of Leather is expected to go ‘live’ with the software solution this autumn.
