Welcom Software - the first IT company in the UK to achieve the Investor In People (IiP) Leadership and Management model - is further accelerating its role as a people’s champion by investing £30,000 in training.

The specialist software provider, which offers cutting-edge business solutions to the financial services and retail sectors, has enrolled 14 of its staff - 23 per cent of the entire team - on Dale Carnegie training courses.

A dynamic duo comprising chief executive officer Nigel Welch and chief operating officer Nigel Corp, are developing the company’s young, fresh and innovative culture, in which the business is seen as a ‘community’.

The training for the employees, who work across client accounts including ScS, Airdrie Savings Bank and Cattles Plc, challenges them to reach their full potential and work more effectively as a team.

Nigel Corp said: “The business is now stronger than ever – lines of communication have been vastly improved and each and every Welcom employee has been empowered so that they can play a more vital role in the future of the business.”

Lena Gill, business coach at Dale Carnegie said: “The training put in place at Welcom Software underpins forward thinking and working cohesively together. The course is focused on how to think differently and work differently, increasing revenue and profitability.”
